Dave Swallow: Art of Mixing a Show 7th Nov @ Alchemea
-Fresh from his inspirational seminars at Sydney’s ENTECH and London’s PLASA trade shows, world-renowned live sound engineer, Dave Swallow, will be delivering his ‘Art of Mixing a Show: Technique’ Masterclass at the Alchemea College in Islington on Monday 7th November 2011.
This all-day event, a must for all practicing and aspiring live sound engineers, will explore the techniques deployed by the UK’s best live engineers including:
- The neglected building blocks of a mix – their purpose and how to put them together plus rediscovering the fundamentals of dynamics processors
- Plunging the depths of synthetic reverbs – how to adapt them to any environment plus how to create space in a dry, flat mix
Dave will also use the Masterclass as an opportunity to host the next installment of his groundbreaking ‘Audio Think Tank’ which saw its first outing at this year’s PLASA. This is an opportunity for audio pros, semi-pros, novices and anyone keen to find out more about audio manipulation to share ideas in a live, interactive forum.
Dave Swallow said:“Engineers, mixers and the people on the front line of this industry sometimes get left behind by new products and technological advances. This is their chance to talk about what we do, how we do it and why we do it.”
Tickets for the Masterclass plus attendance at the Audio Think Tank cost £28 and can be booked at the PayPal link below. Or you can email info@alchemea.com to reserve your seat and receive information about alternative payment methods.
