As well as overseeing the development of Alchemea’s short courses and Live Sound diploma, Neil is one of Europe’s most experienced Avid Pro Tools Expert Instructors. Since the programme’s inception in 2003, Neil has delivered literally hundreds of classes after undergoing his own AVID instructor training at AVIDs Daly City Headquarters (US). In addition to his work at Alchemea, he is a successful award-winning freelance mastering and audio engineer with his own Pro Tools HDX studio. Neil firmly believes that a lecturer/instructor should be actively engaged in commercial audio work.
Career highlights include:
- Mastered Divididos “Amapola del 66″ winner of 3 CAPIF Gardel Awards 2011 Best Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Production
- Mastered Latin Grammy 2011 Nominees Escalandrum “Piazzolla plays Piazzolla”
- Mastered Latin Grammy 2008 nominee Juanse’s “Energia Divina”. Mastered Divididos; “Audio y Agua” Vivo en Luna Park 5.1 Bluray/2xDVD 2xCD 2011.
- Mastered Original Soundtrack CDs and lead singles for Disney and Nickelodeon Latin America.
- Mixed the original music for The Flight of the Conchords BBC Radio 2, Sony Radio Awards “Bronze” winning show.
- Recorded many major artists live shows most recently Kasabian at the O2 arena Dec 2012.
