Oscar Pablos Salazar – Ableton Live Tutor
Oscar Pablos (a.k.a Ojah) is a sound engineer and music producer from Spain. He now lives in London, where he runs his own studio space at Rollover Studios, providing a range of services in music, from programming, production, sound design, remixing, music for libraries, sound fx to mixing and mastering.
As well as being Alchemea’s lead Ableton Live trainer, Oscar is also an Avid Pro Tools Operator for both music and post-production and an Apple Certified Pro in Logic Studio.
As a professional, he has worked in different studios in Spain and UK, worked as a music producer for Global FM Radio, been a live engineer for Grammy awarded Latin hip hop superstar Mala Rodríguez (Universal) and has been involved in many gigs and festivals in both live engineering and technical coordination and management positions. He has done over 500 jobs for different radio stations including Global FM, Kiss FM, Catalunya Radio, and advertising works for clients like Vodafone or Play Station. Oscar has provided mastering services for several artists and labels as well as for different music and video projects.
As a freelancer, he has taken part in various fields including music production, recording and mixing, technical coordinator, music & sound design for film and websites, sound recording, boom operator, post production, audio restoration, road manager and runner. He also started running his own studio space in 2007. Besides this, he is and has been part of many different projects, both alone and with other people covering various styles, and has also done remixes for many different artists and bands.
The most prominent of them is his solo project as Ojah, (focused on dub, dubstep & ambient music), having released on different labels, including SonyBmg, Dubkraft, 18th floor, Dubforce, Digibeatmusic, Lafamille, Alchemy Dubs, Dub Vibrations and El Manicomio. Ojah has been playing a live show since 2008 that has taken him to different gigs in Spain, UK and Germany and festivals like Glastonbury.
He is currently working with partner Joshua Towell as a production duo (O.J.) for urban/electronic artists, on music to picture for different publishers and in music for sample libraries.
