Euphonix Control Room (Studio 1)
The Euphonix room is Alchemea's flagship studio. This spacious control room is daylit and fully air-conditioned. The classic Euphonix CS 3000 audio mixing system provides students with unique and powerful performance and feature benefits. The desks combination of digital control and analog audio provide advanced computer controlled operational features while at the same time preserving the integrity of an analog audio signal path. The CS 3000 represents the best of both worlds.
Recording is handled by a very powerful Pro Tools HD3 Accel with 3 x 96 I/O convertors and a top quality Otari 2" alalogue tape machine. Students also have access to a plethora of high quality plug-in and outboard dynamics and effects units.
At Alchemea we believe that it essential for students to use the highest standard of equipment. Equally important is that students have substantial periods of practical activity to gain the skills and confidence to work in a industry standard recording studio environment. Students are guaranteed 12 x 9 hour individual practical sessions. This usually ends up being much more as students will have to work together on recording projects.
