STP 101: Course Description
This two-day class guides you through using Soundtrack Pro to edit audio files, repair field recordings, perform multitrack arranging and mixing, synchronize audio and video, analyze and fix common audio problems, and perform other creative sound design techniques. This course focuses on practical, professional techniques used to add professional music and sound effects to video and multimedia projects.

Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for those that want to learn the basics of audio content creation, editing and mixing. he course is designed for those who prefer hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore the functionality of Soundtrack Pro.

Certification
This course covers the requirements necessary to successfully become an Apple Certified Pro, Level 1 in Soundtrack Pro. Level 1 certification attests to basic operational knowledge of the application.

To register for this exam, which can only be taken on-site at an Apple Certified Training Centre please contact Alchemea’s College Manager Jim Bryden. You are required to have an Apple Tech ID number before registering for any Apple exam. You can apply for a Tech ID by following the instructions at certifications.apple.com.
It is also possible to purchase Martin Sitter’s course book & DVD from Alchemea for £30. Once you have worked your way through the book you can take the STP Level 1 exam at Alchemea for a cost of £75.

Soundtrack Pro Level 1 certification also counts towards the new Logic Studio Master Pro certification. Master certification recognizes a user’s skills with the entire Logic Studio product suite. Since workflow is such a significant component, users need certification in at least two of the applications to earn Master Certification. Prerequisites
Students should have a basic knowledge of music technology and preferable a basic knowledge of Macintosh OS (operating system)

We require a £100 registration fee upon application and the balance of the fee two weeks before the course start date.
