Sam John: Audio Mastering Tutor (Precise Mastering)

After successfully graduating from Alchemea in 2001 Sam started working in various vinyl mastering rooms around London working as a cutting engineer. Here he honed his vinyl cutting skills on Neumann VMS 70 lathes, mastering a countless numbers of underground and mainstream releases. In 2005 Sam joined Alchemy Soho as a freelance mastering engineer working in Ray Staff’s room. He also established his own mastering company (Precise Mastering) which now boasts a heady and highly speced balance of analogue and digital technology. Sam's client list is impressive (Nigel Godrich, Aphex Twin, Underworld, Maximo Park and many many more.)
