Neil Pickles: Short Course Director (Digidesign Trainer)
After many years of hard work I'm now a Director and Lecturer at Alchemea College of Audio Engineering one of the leading audio engineering colleges in the world.
I teach students the wide range of skills needed to be a modern sound engineer from recording techniques and sequencing to using traditional mixing desks like the SSL G series and recent innovations such as The Euphonix Cs3000 and Pro-Tools.
I don't feel you can teach subjects like this without actually doing it and I spend my entire time recording, mixing, mastering and producing music.
Professional qualifications
DigiDesign trained at DigiDesigns headquarters Daly City CA USA. Certified Pro Tools instructor. This means I'm certified to train Pro Tools up to Digi Designs 210M operator level.
Alchemea Diploma in Audio Engineering and Production.

I've been out to Beirut to help with the set up of their wonderful new Pro Tools HD3Accel studio with Pro Control, some staff training in recording techniques and at the same time recorded and mixed a single for Lebanese Rock band Negative called "Don't Ask" and recorded strings and mixed a single for Lebanese pop singer Nibale. Both singles are scheduled for a July 2004 release.

- Following the success of David Ogilvy's critically acclaimed debut album and Glastonbury 2003 appearance in the acoustic tent, we've started working on his follow up album. I've mixed the first 7 tracks and will be doing engineering work and mixing the rest of the album with him on and off over the next few months.
