Alchemea has 4 live rooms. Wallboxes in each live room are connected to a central patching room which in turn is connected to every control room. In short, you can patch a signal from any live room to any recording console. It is also possible to record direct into the soundcards of the the workstations.

This gives students the flexibility to record live but still avoid instrument spill by seperating the musicians. This is very useful when recording to stereo or when laying down guide tracks. Your job as the engineer is to be organized, prepared and create a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. This should ensure that you are able to get the best performance from your musicians (even if they can't see each other!.)
