Ableton Live 7: DJ & Production Essential

The Alchemea Ableton Live 6 training course will be spread over 6 weekday evenings. The first half of the course focuses on using Live to sketch, arrange and produce your own tracks. The second half looks at Live’s amazing warping functionality and using Live for performance and Dj’ing purposes.

Each session lasts around 3 hours long. Here is what you will cover:

SESSION 1 : Getting Started & MIDI

SESSION 2: AUDIO, Effects and Plug-ins

· Session objective
· Session 1 refresher
· Audio basics (importing Clips)
· Audio manipulation (Loop Points, envelopes, bouncing)
· Using midi effects
· Using audio effects (Ableton & third party)
· EQ & dynamics (make it sit in the mix)
· Getting nasty with effects (chaining and signal flow)
· Assigning effects to controllers

SESSION 3: Recording, Arranging, Mixing & Rewiring

· Recording into Live 7
· Setting up a headphone mix with fx
· Arranging your production
· Track Automation

· Sub mixing and processing drums
· DAW efficiency (using sends and bouncing audio)

SESSION 4: Warping
