MIDAS
Midas has been designing and manufacturing live performance analogue and digital audio mixing consoles for the world's most demanding live sound engineers, performers and production rental companies since the early 1970s.

Yamaha's M7CL Digital Mixing Console is an industry standard for mid-range live sound mixing. Yamaha will be bringing the M7CL "School" to our venue to teach students the ins and outs of the desk operation including the powerful "Centralogic™ interface. Students will also get plenty of practical time on the desk to put it through its paces in a working environment.
In addition to the M7CL Yamaha will be training our students on their other popular consoles from the LS9 to the high end PM5D.
Our students will finish the course with confident working knowledge of these ubiquitous industry standard consoles.

d&B audiotechnik
Alchemea are installing a top spec d&B audiotechnik J-series line array system in their new venue. d&b audiotechnik has been developing, manufacturing and distributing loudspeaker systems since 1981. The company operates internationally in the field of electro acoustics to produce high quality products for reinforcement of speech and music. Through the amalgamation of technological developments, system integration principals, quality of construction and standards of service, d&b right from the outset realized a concept, that includes all aspects of design, development, manufacture and support: the d&b System reality.
d&b's loudspeakers are used globally in rental and installation markets for events, multimedia, musicals, concert halls, theatres, opera houses, broadcast and everything from the smallest conference room to the largest stadium.

Alchemea are Europe's number one Pro School so including Digidesign VENUE D-Show training into our new live sound course was a no-brainer. Digidesign® VENUE is a state-of-the-art live sound production environment that delivers studio-grade sound, unprecedented reliability, powerful performance, and complete ease of use. From intuitive control surfaces and easy-to-use D-Show® software to Pro Tools® integration and the widest array of TDM processing at your fingertips, VENUE is shaping the future of live sound.
The VENUE will be our front of house system and as a student you will take the 220V VENUE Certification Course as part of your studies. The VENUE series has the unique ability to connect directly to Pro Tools HD or LE systems. With the recording of live shows becoming an increasingly popular and important facet of the live production process our Venue with its HD system will give our students all the experience they need in this area.

CLASSROOM (PUB STYLE PA)
Although having one of the best PA's in the world in the main room, namely the d & b Audiotechnik J-series and the best consoles by Midas and Digidesign is great, most peoples first real gigs will be on much smaller set ups.
As our course is about real world experience we will also have an typical mobile PA for use in our theory classes and for students to run smaller events promotions and gigs in the VIP room for even more hands on experience.
The mobile PA will consist of active Mackie SRM450's with subs and SRM350's monitors and a 16 channel mixer with effects. This represents one of the most common systems you will find at smaller events.
