Jamie Griffiths (J-Me*): Ableton Certified Trainer / Reason Trainer

J-Me* is Alchemea's Ableton Certified Trainer.

J-Me* was an early starter in the music industry - playing out in clubs & parties from the age of 16 and with a great passion for break beat and dance music it wasn’t long before he was a master behind the decks.

Since then J-Me* has made a name for himself with club residencies at Martha’s Vineyard, Pulse, The Escape Club in Swansea and has also played for the following venues such as Universe, Fantazia, Dance Planet, Kinetic, Obsession, Mount Fuji Rock Festival, Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, Creamfields, Essence, Miami Ultra Beach Festival 2000, Golden, The Cross, 16mm, KHZ, Escape club and so on.

J-Me* is a professional club DJ and scratcher with eighteen years’ experience (including three years as scratch DJ and percussionist for Hybrid), and currently product demonstrator for M-Audio UK, and has been a dedicated Ableton Live user for over four years. J-Me’s teaching experience includes private one-on-one DJ tuition, three years at Vestax DJ academy, composition tutoring at Access to Music Brighton, private and group sessions teaching Ableton Live, and crash courses for Alchemea College of Audio Engineering. J-Me* specializes in heavy funked up electro, tech, house and breaks and has worked with Hybrid, Phil Harnol (Orbital), Soul of Man, Si-K, and Gordon Kaye, among others. He is also one of 7 certified Ableton Live trainers in the UK.

Other projects include remixes of Reckless Sons – Animal (Synthetik Voices remix) Xpress 2 – Muzik a collaboration with progressive house legend Gordon Kaye & a stunning break beat remix of N-Joi – Anthem.

More recently, launched the birth Synthetik Voices (J Me & Si K) This is a new live DJ production concept syncing 2 x Apple Mac books, identical controllers, effect units and ableton live x 2. Also endorsed my Allen & Heath Beta testing the Xone range DJ mixers.

J-Me* is a unique DJ and controls the dance floor wherever he plays. He captures the attention of all those he plays to with his fluid mixing and phenomenal scratching skills. With his amount of expertise and passion, you can be sure to be completely blown away – enjoy the music and the journey…

Over 2-days of practically intensive study with J-Me*, students will learn how to produce their own tracks and DJ using Ableton Live.
