Dave Humphries: Freelance Lecturer

Dave Humphries is a Re-recording mixer for Film & TV Drama.

He began his career working in Music studios in the late 60’s mixing for such artists as John Miles, Cliff Richard, Pentangle and the legendary James Brown.
Moving into television in the 80’s he learned his craft mixing documentaries and children’s drama. He began drama mixing in the 90’s and has a BAFTA Sound Nomination for Longitude, a C.A.S. Sound Award for Shackleton, and has mixed many TV Drama Series including Hustle, New Tricks and Daziel & Pascoe.
Feature films include The Navigators (Ken Loach), Revenger’s Tragedy (Alex Cox) and Guesthouse Paradiso starring Adrian Edmonson and Rik Mayal. He has recently mixed his first American soundtracks for Steven Seagal’s Shadowman and Wesley Snipes in Razor’s Edge.
