College Facilties & Studio Equipment Overview
- 5.1 Cinema Dubbing Theatre based around Digidesign’s flagship ICON D-Control work surface
- Euphonix CS3000 control room: Pro Tools HD3 Accel, great outboard (UAD, Lexicon, Eventide etc…) & Otari MTR90 2” tape machine
- SSL G-series control room, valve analogue outboard & Otari MTR90 2” tape machine
- Electronic Music Production Room: Mac Pro (8-core), Virus, Nord, NI Komplete, Waves diamond bundle, UAD-2 DSP card (with all plug-ins) + much more!
- Apple Training Room. Every student uses their own 20 “ networked Intel iMac, Digidesign M-box and Radium Keyboard.
- Mac Pro (8 core) workstations loaded with UAD-2 DSP Cards (includes all UAD plug-ins) and the latest music production software including Pro Tools and Logic.
- 3 fully routable live recording areas including vocal booth
It is important to stress that our facilities are not showrooms and we are not a commercial facility. The studios are for sole use of our full time students.
We will give you more practical time that an any other college. Sessions are 8 hours long and on average students receive over 30 hours of practical time every week. We book your sessions for you so there is not a mad scramble to get into the studios. These are also your individual sessions. If you team up with a classmate however you can enjoy a 16 hour session!
Our philosophy at ALCHEMEA is simple. "You learn by doing." It is this practical experience that breeds confidence and ultimately make our Diploma graduates so employable.
