Classroom 2

Alchemea's back classroom is a little smaller than Classroom 1 and is predominantly used for Diploma and SAC lectures. Speakers are wall mounted, lighting is controlable and a MAC and a PC are connected to a projector, which ensures that students never have to huddle round a computer screen. Classroom 2 is also kitted out with a wireless monitoring system.

Diploma and SAC Lectures
Lectures run Monday to Friday for the majority of the Diploma and SAC. We run the same lecture twice in one day. The morning lecture starts at 11am and the afternoon lecture starts at 3pm. Lectures last between two and a half and three hours, with a 20-minute break. We book you practical sessions (9 hours) around your lecture.

Many lectures are of a practical nature and therefore take place in the control rooms. Each course will experience 2 group-recording projects where one of our experienced lecture will record and mix a band. Students will be able to assist and see how a session is run by an industry professional.

Morning or Afternoon?
If you are an early riser it is advisable to take the afternoon lecture because the majority of your practical time will take in the morning before you lecture. If you travel in from a distance then it is advisable to take the morning lecture. Your practical time will usually finish just in time for you to catch the last bus/train home. Which ever you decide we guarantee you that after a while time will go out of the window. Alchemea's courses (especially the Diploma) are very intensive. There will be times when we expect you to attend practical sessions throughout the night. Remember we are open 24/7!
