Introduction
Alchemea’s evening and weekend short course program is designed to appeal to both music tech beginners and experienced producers.
Learn to set up and optimise your home studio on our jargon busting Music Tech Crash-Course. Master your sequencing software on one of our audio software courses. Learn to compose, record, mix and master from industry experts. We now also offer a certified Final Cut Pro 6 Course and 1-day video crash course for budding video editors.

Multiple Course Discounts
Great savings can be made when you book onto more than one course:
7% on second course
10% on third course
12% on fourth course
Individual Pro Tools modules are discounted when taken as a “bundle”. Please refer to our price list for more details.

The following discounts are available for group bookings:
3 - 5 students 3%
6 - 8 students 5%
9 - 12 students 8%
13+ students 15%
How to Apply
1) Once you have chosen your course dates you will then need contact our Registrar Tony Garston on +44(0) 20 7359 3986 to confirm course availability. Alternatively you can email Tony at to either email info@alchemea.com . Forthcoming course dates are available from our website www.alchemea.com
2) Once your availability has been confirmed you will need to complete and return our Short Course Application Form (see page) to the college address or by fax to +44(0) 20 7704 2056. We also require a course fee deposit to secure your place.
3) We will then send you an official reservation letter confirming your booking details and to advise that the balance of the course fee will be due 2 weeks before the course start date.
4) We will send you a further confirmation letter once we have received the balance of your course fee.

Alchemea are Europe’s leading Digidesign Pro School delivering up to 310 (Expert) Level in Music and Post Production techniques as well as ICON and VENUE training. We are also an Ableton Certified Training Centre and Apple Authorised Training Centre. This guarantees that students will learn the most recent software versions using the latest technology.
At Alchemea we make every effort to support students through exams and to date we have an excellent pass rate. For all other short courses we will provide students with an Alchemea Certificate upon completion of their training.

A comfortable working environment is essential when you undertake any training course. Alchemea’s facilities are equipped to the highest standards.
Our “Apple Training Room” is equipped with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo (2.4GHz) iMacs and loaded with the latest versions of Pro Tools LE, Logic Studio, Ableton Live, Reason & Final Cut Pro.
This classroom is the setting for the majority of Alcehmea’s short courses and every effort has been made to create the optimum training environment. The room is air-conditioned, lighting is controllable and the furniture has been custom designed for comfort. The room has been acoustically treated and instructors have use of a wireless monitoring system.
Our Pro Tools HD training room Alchemea's Pro Tools HD Room is equipped with the latest Digidesign and Avid Technology. Student’s taking techniques courses will also make use of our Euphonix CS3000 control room and 5.1 Cinema Dubbing Theatre.
Equipment Discounts
Alchemea students can make big savings on equipment and software when taking a course at Alchemea. These savings especially on software can literally pay for your training. Take an Apple course and receive over 60% of Logic Pro 7. Pro Tools students also receive a 40% discount on LE gear (including their M-Box and 003). Sizable discounts are also available on other software products like Cubase, Reason and Ableton Live.
To top it off Alchemea Short Course students can also gain a yearly magazine and e-subscription to Sound On Sound Magazine for the discounted cost of £36.
