Welcome to Alchemea
We are proud to have also trained staff from some of the most prestigious recording and post production studios in the world, not to mention freelance engineers, television companies and educators.
We believe in working closely with the creative industries to ensure that what we teach not only of a high quality but also relevant. Alchemea are committed to supporting the industry and particularly the efforts of producers, engineers and studio staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create the music you love. We were proud to be sponsor the “Unsung Hero Award” at the 2012 Music Producers Guild Awards for the second time.
The Alchemea Way
As well as our numerous validations and accreditations, Alchemea has been a past recipient of the National Training Award. This reflects our focus on providing great value for money. We respect and value the investment made by every one of our students and whilst we do not aim to be the biggest, we do aim to be the best. We proud of the reputation we have developed not only in the pro-audio industry but among fellow educators.
'Alchemea's mission is to be recognised as one of the world's leading providers of creative media education. We aim to achieve this by working closely with employers, manufactures and service providers to develop programmes that create confident, highly skilled and ultimately employable graduates. We are also committed to equipping our facilities to the highest standards, and using experienced industry professional to help deliver our courses'.
Redefining Full Time Education
While other courses you may be considering may be longer in duration the chances are that you will only be expected to attend a small fraction of the lectures and practical sessions that you are at Alchemea. Our Studio Sound Diploma crams 2 to 3 years of study into 1 academic year (36-weeks) and many institutions would think nothing of delivering what we cover in our 16-week Live Sound Diploma over 1 year.
We are an International College
Alchemea's support staff are experienced in supporting students through the CAS application process and make every effort to point out any relevant pitfalls that could lead to your student visa being rejected.
We also appreciate that English may not be your first language and we therefore focus heavily on making our international students feel welcome and relaxed. Our small class sizes mean that you will be guaranteed plenty of personal attention and guidance through the course of your studies. And while it is essential to have a good command of written and spoken English to take a course at Alchemea (CEFR level B1 for non-EU students), our lecturers are experienced in teaching students for whom English is not their first language.
