Alchemea’s full time courses are very intensive. We make no apology for this, in fact we believe that it is in your interest to condense your studies into as short a time frame as possible. This means that your total course fee will be relatively low and you will incur less living expenses. It is also very important to remember that you will have the option to enter the job market sooner. Not only will you be able to start building your career sooner, you will be in a position to repay any loans you make have taken to fund your learning.

While other courses you may be considering may be longer in duration the chances are that you will only be expected to attend a small fraction of the lectures and practical sessions that you are at Alchemea. Our Studio Sound Diploma crams 2 to 3 years of study into 1 academic year (36-weeks) and many institutions would think nothing of delivering what we cover in our 16-week Live Sound Diploma over 1 year.

We are proud to have been awarded “Educational Oversight” by the Independent School Inspectorate (ISI). This voluntary programme fulfills the inspection requirements necessary when applying for or renewing a Tier 4 licence to sponsor international students under the Points Based System. We have also been awarded HTS (Highly Trusted Sponsor Status) by the UK Border Agency. This means that if you are a student from outside the European Union you can apply for a student visa to study at Alchemea in London.

Alchemea's support staff are experienced in supporting students through the CAS application process and make every effort to point out any relevant pitfalls that could lead to your student visa being rejected.

We also appreciate that English may not be your first language and we therefore focus heavily on making our international students feel welcome and relaxed. Our small class sizes mean that you will be guaranteed plenty of personal attention and guidance through the course of your studies. And while it is essential to have a good command of written and spoken English to take a course at Alchemea (CEFR level B1 for non-EU students), our lecturers are experienced in teaching students for whom English is not their first language.
